Prairie Dock
- Silphium terebinthinaceum
The unique, almost tropical foliage of this majestic plant makes a statement that is all its own. Producing huge rounded leaves
that resemble elephant's ears, Prairie Dock's masses of bright yellow flowers are atop its five to ten foot tall stalks. Very
long living, it prefers rich clay soils with good moisture but also does well in fertile, well drained land.

GERMINATION INFO |
Cold, moist stratification. Mix seed with moist but not wet, sterile growing medium. Place mixture in a labeled, sealed
plastic bag and store in refridgerator for six to eight weeks. Note: Some seed may germinate in the storage bag if moist
stratified too long. If sprouting occurs, plant immediately. Another method is to sow seed outdoors in late autumn so that
they may overwinter. Approx. 25 seeds per pack
