The most beautiful of all the
goldenrods, the splendidly sculpted flower
clusters of this plant make for a spectacular
show in the fall. Its foot-long wands of blazing
yellow add prominence to any planting and make
fabulous cut flowers! Growing on medium loams to
very dry sands and attaining a height of two to
three feet, the Showy Goldenrod makes a fine
addition to the autumn garden!

GERMINATION INFO
Cold, moist
stratification. Mix seed with moist but
not wet, sterile growing medium. Place
mixture in a labeled, sealed plastic bag
and store in refridgerator for six to
eight weeks. Note: Some seed may
germinate in the storage bag if moist
stratified too long. If sprouting occurs,
plant immediately. Another method is to
sow seed outdoors in late autumn so that
