Naturally occuring in moist
thickets and along stream edges, the New York
Ironweed's presents an attractive appearance.
With its tall stems covered in numerous willowy
leaves, it bears eye-catchingly intense purple
flowers in the late summer. Perfect for
naturalizing moist areas as well as at the back
of the border garden.
SEED
GERMINATION INFO
Cold, moist
stratification. Mix seed with moist but
not wet, sterile growing medium. Place
mixture in a labeled, sealed plastic bag
and store in refridgerator for six to
eight weeks. Note: Some seed may
germinate in the storage bag if moist
stratified too long. If sprouting occurs,
plant immediately. Another method is to
sow seed outdoors in late autumn so that
they may overwinter. Approx. 95 seeds per pack
