Virginia Wild Rye - Elymus virginicus Excellent for wooded openings and forest edges, this graceful native grass is similar to Canada Wild Rye and thrives in full sun or moderate shade. Excellent for stabilizing disturbed soils in woodland situations, it grows well in just about any soil and does particularly well in slightly moist soils. It mixes well with wildflowers such as the Woodland Sunflower. SEED GERMINATION INFO No pre-treatment necessary other than cold, dry storage.
