Joe Pye Weed - Eupatorium
maculatum
A native of damp meadows and
marshes, Joe Pye Weed is perfect for planting
along streambanks and pond edges. It is also an
outstanding garden plant and will flourish in any
rich garden soil. Reaching heights of 4 to 6
feet, it is topped with huge clusters of magenta
flower heads on tall straight stems that
butterflies find irresistable! Grows best in full
sun with moist soil conditions but will also
tolerate some shade.

GERMINATION INFO |
Cold, moist
stratification. Mix seed with moist but
not wet, sterile growing medium. Place
mixture in a labeled, sealed plastic bag
and store in refridgerator for six to
eight weeks. Note: Some seed may
germinate in the storage bag if moist
stratified too long. If sprouting occurs,
plant immediately. Another method is to
sow seed outdoors in late autumn so that
they may overwinter.
Approx. 75 seeds per pack
