Weed - Eupatorium purpureum
A butterfly favourite! Sweet Joe
Pye Weed is easily grown, it's numerous tiny,
vanilla scented, pinkish/purple flowers are
grouped into huge, dome shaped umbrels that act
like magnets for Monarchs, Swallowtails and many
other butterflies! Its textured leaves are
attractive all season long. This is an excellent
garden plant!

GERMINATION INFO |
Cold, moist
stratification. Mix seed with moist but
not wet, sterile growing medium. Place
mixture in a labeled, sealed plastic bag
and store in refridgerator for six to
eight weeks. Note: Some seed may
germinate in the storage bag if moist
stratified too long. If sprouting occurs,
plant immediately. Another method is to
sow seed outdoors in late autumn so that
they may overwinter.
