Ox-Eye Sunflower - Heliopsis helianthoides
Not a true sunflower, Ox-eye Sunflower is found in native tallgrass prairies and at the edge of brushy or wooded areas. Easy to grow and a good source of cut flowers, it produces large quantities of large, brilliant orange-yellow flowers up to two inches wide. Excellent for clay soil!

SEED GERMINATION INFO Cold, moist stratification. Mix seed with moist but not wet, sterile growing medium. Place mixture in a labeled, sealed plastic bag and store in refridgerator for six to eight weeks. Note: Some seed may germinate in the storage bag if moist stratified too long. If sprouting occurs, plant immediately. Another method is to sow seed outdoors in late autumn so that they may overwinter.
Approx. 6,300 seeds per oz. - 60 seeds per pack
Colour : Yellow Blooms : June to Sept. Light : Full sun to Part shade
