One of the finest claybusters is
naturally found in growing in moist areas in the
wild with foliage as lush and showy as the
blooms. A Goldfinch favorite, it reaches up to
five feet tall with the flowers opening first at
the top of the spike in mid to late summer. It is
a great cut flower and holds its colour well in
dried flower arrangements. Best results are
obtained in rich, medium or moist soil in full
sun.
SEED
GERMINATION INFO
Cold, moist
stratification. Mix seed with moist but
not wet, sterile growing medium. Place
mixture in a labeled, sealed plastic bag
and store in refridgerator for six to
eight weeks. Note: Some seed may
germinate in the storage bag if moist
stratified too long. If sprouting occurs,
plant immediately. Another method is to
sow seed outdoors in late autumn so that
they may overwinter. Approx. 11,000 seeds per oz. - 50 seeds per pack
