The last liatris to bloom in the season, Rough Blazingstar attracts butterflies, hummingbirds and a wealth of other pollinators. Great as both cut and dried flowers Rough Blazingstar seed is easy to grow preferring dry soils in full sun although it can take a bit of shade. In southern Ontario, Liatris aspera is quite rare and is listed as an endangered species, our seed is harvested from plants grown here at our farm.
